Korean Boys Over Flowers, CURSED?!

March 9, 2009

Is it just me or does it seem like the Korean version of Boys over Flowers seem cursed? It’s the first time I have ever heard of a drama that encountered so many accidents and now a death. If you haven’t heard, Jang Ja-Yeon, suicided by hanging herself. Supposedly it’s due to depression. You can read more about it here. Oh and here‘s pics of everyone at the funeral.

But I mean seriously.. the cast had about how many car accidents before this? 4? 3? That’s still alot and it all happened to be the main cast too. Not only that but they had to postpone the filming for a while because one of the main member’s got an injury on her face from a crash. Also, didn’t they have a problem about the plot line? I remember reading about how people were complaining that it promoted violence and the differences between commoners and rich people, etc.

Anyway yeah..

I never encountered a drama that had this many problems..

IT”S CURSED!!!!

Actor Takahiro Ito, the younger brother of “Densha Otoko” star Atsushi Ito, has passed away, it was learned on Sunday. He was only 21 years old.
Ito was found dead in a parked car near Lake Sagami in the Kanagawa prefecture. Police are currently investigating the death as a suicide.
The actor regularly updated his official blog, but his last post was on February 22. In that entry, he included a photo of him having fun with friends at a high school reunion, and he also mentioned that he was preparing for filming a television drama this month.
Ito entered show business as a child actor back in 1993. His most recent roles included the movie “Yougisha x no Kenshin” and the dramas “Galileo” and “Nodame Cantabile.”

But seriously.. I don’t think it’s a suicide.. People don’t really suddenly feel like killing themselves in a week and a half right?? o___O The weird part of this news was that when I first read it, the first thought I had was “Wow.. this is like a real Galileo episode..”

It’s kind of weird that we’re used to death and murders because of dramas and tv shows, that when it happens in real life, it almost seems unreal..
